Idol night

Every Tuesday night me and the kids go to mom and dad's house for "Idol night" which is of course to watch our show American Idol. Mom and I have been loyal fans since season 1. It's a fun tradition; the kids enjoy eating dinner there and playing with Nanny and Papa. We had to cut it short tonight because dad was having a tough day. His mom, my Nanny, is having a hard time. She was diagnosed with lung cancer a couple of months ago. She has other health issues as well, like lupus. So, it's been tough. Then, she got in a minor car wreck last week, and has been having residual pain. It's hard on the whole family, but especially so for dad since he's the one often taking her to the doctor, etc. I feel bad for her and my dad. I just continue to pray about it.

While we were there Bella also had yet another accident. That kid is so accident prone. She does this thing where she crawls really fast with her head down and tends to not see where she is going. She was doing that and "tipped" forward and busted her lip and skinned her nose. Just last week we were in the ER (even though that was my fault!). I was holding her and sat down on this cushion thing to put some socks on her feet and tipped sideways and she hit the corner of her eye on the wooden train table. It split open and I was so scared she was going to have to get stitches. Thankfully they used that glue and she is ok! It's almost healed.


Here you can sort of see where she hit her eye, even though it looks MUCH better here than it did.


And here is yet another time when she had a scratched nose! :(
